About NAA
In the year 2000, a few artists and curators in Nashville got together to figure out a way to better connect Nashville to the international contemporary art scene. Five years later they launched a website called Nashville Area Arts (Naa). It is designed to facilitate dialogue between Nashville artists and visiting artists, writers, and curators. It also provides those on the world wide web with information on the visual arts in Middle Tennessee. Naa is made of up museums, galleries, art centers and established artist's groups or cooperatives in the greater Nashville area that exhibit or interpret visual art as their primary focus. Nashville artists are represented on the site through the Metro Nashville Arts Commission's Artist Registry, which is listed on Naa's home page.
